Properties of Ceramic-Lined Composite Steel Pipes and their Application

摘要

The ceramic-lined composite steel pipes are produced industrially by combustion synthesis method in China. The properties of the composite pipes and their application to industries are introduced. The pipes have numerous exceptional properties including good resistance to abrasion, mechanical and thermal shocks. The pipes are easy to weld and connect each other. They are very suitable for the transport of abrasive materials and have a wide variety of application in mining, power plants, water conservation ,and metallurgical, coal, petroleum, and building material industries. The manufacture of the pipes on an industrial scale has been developed since 1995, up to now, about 30 plants produce the pipes and the annual output is nearly 10,000 tons.
