The Key Block Method (KBM) has been widely used over the past 30 years for conducting quick analyses of rock mass stability. Three very important methods have been proposed by Warburton [1,2], Goodman and Shi [3], and Priest [4] which have been supplemented by Delport and Martin [5] and Lin et al. [6].To determine the capacity of each method, it is important to see how the position of the discontinuity planes is taken into account. These methods may accordingly be classified in two main groups [7].
