摘要

The damping of power system oscillations of Single Machine Infinite bus power system installed with Heffron-Phillips model with Static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) and fuzzy logic based stabilizers are tuned according to system data to optimise the damping the oscillations. STATCOM is a second generation FACTS device that can improve the system damping and restrain effectively the oscillations. The STATCOM parameters are optimized using Game Theory (GT) in order to damp the oscillations. The fuzzy stabilizer has be optimized by using the technique of fuzzy C means clustering method, that optimized fuzzy stabilizer is more effective than other the conventional PSS in damping of low frequency oscillations. In this paper the damping of oscillations of two different system GT-STATCOM & FCM - STATCOM has been compared using simulation studies and the results are validate the efficiency of the proposed Stabilizer.
