摘要

Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) is characterised by abnormal vascular networks with terminal dilatations, which form polyps.PCV occurs more commonly in Asian populations, where it comprises between 23% and 55% of patients presenting with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD).The visual outcomes of PCV is generally better compared to choroidal neovascularisation (CNV) from AMD.In addition, PCV responds less favourably to antivascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) monotherapy compared to typical AMD, with incomplete polyp closure in a majority of cases.
