Why are UK nurses so well respected in other countries?

Over the last month, as part of my role, I have been required to visit various locations in Asia. The purpose of my visit was to foster partnerships in relation to both education and research. This aspect of my role continues to grow in importance, as such collaborations are just one of the many measures by which the success of any university is judged. Among other places, I had the good fortune to visit India, where I met many nurses and nursing students, all eager to advance their own education and practice. As part of an initiative intended to empower Indian nurses and further develop the nursing profession there, through continuous professional development and lifelong learning, I was asked to deliver a lecture that would be considered to be both inspirational and informative.
