Supplying Holcim Vietnam

Holcim Ltd Vietnam awarded Siemens I&S IS E&C in Erlangen, Germany the contract to supply all the electrical equipment for a cement mill and shipping terminal. The terminal with a clinker grinding facility are located adjacent to the Thi Vai River, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Vietnam. Holcim Ltd in Vietnam has a market share of approximately 30 per cent in the south of the country, with a production capacity of 1.7Mta of cement. With the erection of a second grinding terminal in Ho Chi Minh City, Holcim is extending its capacity to better cater for the expanding cement market in one of the most important industrial regions of Vietnam.
