Secure Storage and Retrieval of Big Data on Distributed cloud Environment

Cloud computing and Big data plays an important role in the recent Information Technology era. Applying big data is a great benefit to organizations, companies and business. The advantages of using cloud computing includes: i) reduced hardware and maintenance cost and ease of use ii) accessibility around the globe, and iii) flexibility and highly automated processes wherein the customer need not worry about mundane concerns like software up-gradation [R. Maggiani et al., 2009, Harold C. Lin et al., 2009]. This research work concentrates on data centric cloud security on big data. This work mainly focuses on big data security. Large amounts of sensitive data which uses cloud storage facility are considered here. Businesses and several enterprises store their data on cloud through CSP (Cloud Service Providers). There is a huge need of Big Data Security and Big Data Privacy mechanisms. This work focuses on how the security mechanisms are applied when Big Data is stored on a cloud.
