摘要

This paper proposed an integrated caching and prefetching technique to reduce latency and improve cache hit ratio in mobile environment. Bandwidth monitoring agent is used to find out current bandwidth usage. Prediction module creates Hidden Markov model to predict the list of URL to be pre-fetched. Pre-fetch module is used to pre-fetch the web pages and store them in a pre-fetch area. Experimental results show that the new browser in the windows mobile phone increased the cache hit ratio to 5-10% and response time is reduced to 40-70%.
