Multistage interconnection networks (MINs) are a class of high-speed computer networks usually composed of processing elements (PEs) on one end of the network and memory elements (MEs) on the other end, connected together by switching elements (SEs). Multilayer multistage interconnection networks are established by defining the main parameters of such architecture. In this paper multilayer multistage interconnection networks areas studied. Costs and buffer cost of new structure is compared to the regular and replicated multistage interconnection networks. SEN, SEN+1 and SEN+2 networks are compared with regular, replicate and multilayer MINs.
