摘要

The effect of temperature under atmospheric environments at temperature of -20℃, 100℃, 200℃ for a period varying from 2 to 32 hours has been applied to Kevlar fiber. Mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, tensile strain of the Kevlar strand have been evaluated. At -20℃, it was found that both of tensile strength and tensile strain was not different from its property at the initial state. However, at 100℃ and 200℃ tensile strength and tensile strain decreased when the temperature increased. When applying a constant temperature, the experiment showed that temperature has slightly effect on both tensile strength and tensile strain.
