摘要

Acoustics and vibration comfort levels are crucial criteria for the prospective customer to consider when purchasing a new vehicle. Therefore, in today's competitive automobile markets, assessing the acoustics and vibration levels is substantial for automotive industries to produce vehicles that meet the expectations and demands of costumers. This paper reviews various vehicle noise vibration sources especially in the interior cabin as well as their impacts to the overall riding comfort. The effects of noise and vibration on human depends on the frequency, magnitude and period of exposure to noise vibration. In addition, this paper demonstrates the relative methods that are useful to assess the vehicle interior acoustics and vibration. This review is of a particular importance for acoustical researchers and automobile engineers, as it brings about significant assessment methods, suggestions and fundamentals related to acoustics and vibrations in a vehicle.
