摘要

Desuperheaters utilize sprays of cooling water to regulate the temperature of the superheated steam. Despite widespread applications in power plants and industries, fundamental aspects of spray cooling in desuperheaters remain essentially empirical. Proper application requires correct design of variety of geometric configurations for the flow field and the spray systems. The objective of this work is to find out the effect of various parameters that influence the steam conditioning process in desuperheater and to predict and improve the performance of desuperheater that will be useful for wide range of application in waste heat recovery process by simply varying its parameters.
