摘要

Distributed computer designs namely "peer-to-peer" are constructed mainly for the sharing of the computer resources such as storage, content and CPU cycles by straight exchange, preferably than requiring the support or intermediary of a centralized authority or server. P2P architectures are illustrated by their capacity to become accustomed to failures and provide accommodation to transitory populations of nodes whilst upholding performance and acceptable connectivity. Content distribution is the vital P2P application on Internet which has be given significant research attention. Content distribution applications characteristically let personal computers to perform in a synchronized approach as a dispensed storage medium by searching, contributing and acquiring digital content. Peer-to-peer systems develop into a promising option for conventional server-client system to provide video streaming. This paper represents a study on P2P networks administration: P2P overlay networks, classification, properties, simulators, live streaming and their design issues.
