Data of 160 Barbari kids born at Institute Farm were used to study the relationship between body weight and measurements and to develop equations for predicting body weight. In comparison to body length and wither's height, heart girth had generally higher correlation with body weighl. The correlations among the body measurements (length, height and heart girth) at various ages ranged from 0.68 to 0.87. Linear body mensurements were poor predictor for birth weight but good predictor for weaning and post-weaniog body weights. In comparison to body length and wither's height, heart girth could alone predict weaning and yearling weight more accurately. Prediction equation based on the combination of heart girth with body length was more effective in estimating body weigh's than any other combination of two body measurements. The correlation among body weights in different age groups ranged from 0.33 to 0.76. Yearling body weight could not be predicted from any body weight at any age below nine monthsof age.
