Accessible summary Learning Disabilities staff were asked how much they know about Autism & people with Learning Disabilities. Doctors, nurses and other health staff knew quite a lot about Autism. Secretaries had not been offered any training about Autism for people with Learning Disabilities. Training about Autism was given to secretaries. We asked them to tell us what they thought of the training and how this had helped them do things differently. Secretaries felt that the training had helped with feeling valued and with understanding Autism. More help was needed to change the way they work with people with Autism.
