EOS(Novi,MI and Krailling,Germany)introduced two new rapid prototyping materials at SME's Rapid 2008 conference in May.The first,called PrimePartDC,is an impact-resistant polyamide with a tensile strength of 48 MPa.It is said to have an outstanding elongation at break of 50%,roughly twice as high as those of previously available materials.EOS is targeting the material for automotive components,such as interior parts,and also for aerospace applications.
