FOSECO plc - Advanced Refractory Products for Foundry and Steel Cast Houses

FOSECO plc, the world's leading supplier for foundry consumables and services, was founded in 1932 in Birmingham (Great Britain) under the name of Foundry Ltd. In 1932 the company name was changed to FOSECO, i.e. Foundry Services Company. Within the 74 years of its existence FOSECO belonged to two owners (Burmah Castrol in 1990 and CINVEN, a Financial Investor, in 2001), until it was launched in 2005 as FOSECO plc at the London stock market. With its growing business success and a turnover of 409 million in 2006 founds, an increase of 8.5 percent to 2005, FOSECO now has about 3100 employees at 66 operations in 34 countries of the world (Fig. 1).
