When Universal Remote Control first dreamed up its new product lines for whole-house remote control,it wanted them to move up the value chain.While former products were considered economical,the new lines needed to inspire emotion,clearly establish the brand,and become meaningful objects.To meet the new objectives,URC turned to DD Studio (Carlsbad,CA),a product design and development firm that specializes not only in the industrial design side of PD&D,but also in the engineering required to make concepts into reality.
