摘要

This paper presents the design of intelligent distributed controllers for fresh water aquaculture plant, based on a microcontroller platform. This system enables the control of various environmental parameters under the optimum conditions. It is designed around the ATmega8535 microcontroller chips in distributed manner and comprises hardware components and embedded firmware. A compact, fast, flexible, distributed, and cost effective solution is achieved for the control of the four important parameters, notably temperature, lighting, dissolved oxygen, and pH values. The state variables of the monitoring and control process are distributed among the microcontrollers and the performance of the distributed system is analyzed. It is observed that the growth rate of fish is higher and yields good harvest in the controlled environment.
