The Indian and U.S. governments will hold formal World Trade Organization consultations in the second week of May to address India's concerns that the United States increased visa fees for high-skilled workers in violation of the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). India's ambassador to the United States, Arun Singh, said on Monday (April 25) that the consultation had not happened yet, but that it was scheduled to take place soon. An official familiar with the consultation said the date was set for the second week of May.
