Nissan develops new direct injection engines

Nissan has developed new state-of-the-art direct injection engine technology which it claims achieves outstanding environmental friendliness and superior driving performance for both petrol and diesel configurations. Fuel economy is improved by between 20-40 per cent, CO2 emissions by 20-30 per cent and power output by between five and seven per cent on petrol engines and between five and 20 per cent on diesel.
