Systems integrators are an interesting lot. They don't want to take over the world, like some companies, and they aren't going for the big power grab. For the most part, they just want to solve a client's problem and make a few bucks in the process. "Our goal is to give the manufacturer as much relevant data as possible to ensure an efficiently run process," said Jim Lysyk, chief executive of Tarco, a Calgary, Alberta-based industrial automation and engine control systems integrator. "We give him the information to enable him to make a choice."
