Through research and development, the crop protection industry develops technologies and methods that can contribute greatly to the goals of sustainable agriculture when used within the framework of Integrated Crop Management (ICM). Member companies take measures to ensure that development and production methods meet the highest environmental standards, as well as conforming to regulations at all levels. The crop protection industry's stewardship projects seek to ensure that crop protection products are distributed and used safely and effectively so as to favour agricultural production, and contribute to environmental protection in the developed and developing world.
