Bioplastic Moving Bed Biofilm Carriers

The moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR), which utilizes small mobile cylindrical carriers in a reactor as growth platforms for the attached microbial biofilm, has been successful in treating wastewater. To achieve satisfactory performance, the wastewater is aerated or stirred to keep the cylindrical moving bed biofilm carriers (MBBCs) in continuous motion.
