This two day conference held at the beginning of September in Birmingham and organised by MIRA with support from the EC and the city itself looked at what the future might bring. The morning session of day one started with a strategic overview and continued into technology and the car while day two was divided into sessions concentrating on vehicle development and transport management in the morning and the strategic options and the materials of the future in the afternoon.
