Repairs at Jt.St.Co. Bor.

Major repairs took place from September to November at Jt.St.Co. Bor (Dalnegorsk, Primorsky krai, Russia) at a cost of around 1m dollars. Special attention was give to the boric acid and boron product facilities. In the boric acid plant, solution pipelines were repaired, a tail pipeline was installed, and a flotation cell and packing lines were reconstructed. In the boron products plant, a mother liquor pipeline was installed, the repair of the calcium borate rotary dryer was completed, and a multi-cyclone was replaced with a battery cyclone to decrease calcium borate dust emission. All repairs were carried out without having to halt production.
