Pb-free solder for electric parts - actual application cases and reliability evaluation

摘要

The mainstream solder used for vehicle units is an Sn-Pb solder. However, it is required not to use lead for soldering any more from the viewpoint of environmental protection. This report describes how to select the Pb-free cream soldering material and thread soldering material, the most appropriate manufacturing condition and how to evaluate the reliability of the most important soldering joints for vehicle units.
