Jinchuan gets Kwale stake aproval

The Jinchuan Group Ltd (Jinchuan), founded in China, has received approval from The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China to hold 9.9 percent stake in the Kwale titanium ore project, Kenya, currently being developed by Tiomin Resources. Back in November 2005, Jinchuan established a titanium project group with the intention of producing sponge titanium, with raw materials supply from Kenya. The Chinese plant will produce 15,000 tpa of titanium sponge.
