A novel device for the variable rate application of liquid fertilizers'Trident'

In the UK liquid fertilizer is regularly applied, as a top dressing, two or three times during the growing season.Application is normally made using "dribble bars" or multi outlet fertilizer nozzles. The objective of these devices is to produce streams of liquid, rather than droplets, thereby minimizing the risk of scorch.These devices are bound by Torricelli's law which restricts the volumes as a function of the pressure. This new device overcomes some of this difficulty by using an auto adjusting valve.
