'Shoe Finishing' (this can also mean to say 'garment finishing' or 'belts finishing' or 'bags finishing') carries an aura of technology and mysticism, which often lulls the shoemaker to either take-for-granted its basic principles or to mystify into an esoteric art. Shoe finishing is, most definitely, an art, or an involvement that needs a deep understanding of leather, finishing product, shoe making process and a fine sense of aesthetics. Even today, shoe finishing is sadly looked upon as providing a few coats of products to give a 'look' and the cheaper the product, the more acceptable it is, to the shoemaker. In our experience of 23 years in this line, it is a rare joy to come across serious shoemakers who love to evolve finishing processes, as per the specific leather and upgradation allowances, understanding the parameters of finishing products and the final aim of creating a shoe of fine aesthetics as per the requirement of buyer.
