In a meeting organised by FIEO,in co-operation with the Karnataka Chamber of Commerce,at Bangalore on 6th May,Mr.K.T.Chacko,Director General of Foreign Trade,remarked that presently all the prevailing export promotion schemes enable only the compensation of duties and levies on export products.He also endorsed the view that the exporters should get 100% remission of all duties paid including octroi,electricity duty etc..He also concurred with the view that the cost of export credit should be reduced and there should be a flexibility in policy and better infrastructural facilities.
