Hi-Tech Steel Treating, Inc. Emphasis on Quality, Innovation and Service

Like most commercial heat-treat shops, Hi-Tech Steel Treating was created to serve one industry in a small geographic area. Established in 1984 by three entrepreneur's with more than 50 combined years of heat-treat experience, Hi-Tech's doors opened to support the local machining industries in and around Saginaw, Mich., using mainly internal batch furnaces. Today, Hi-Tech serves a wide variety of industries around the country (including auto, agriculture, military, medical and mining) performing an even wider variety of services. Through hard work and customer satisfaction, the original, 15,000-square-foot facility transformed through the years into a 50,000-square-foot facility with 85 employees. After the company gained a presence in the commercial heat-treating market, it expanded by adding more internal batch furnaces. It grew further by installing vacuum furnaces and adding induction heat treating services such as selective hardening and scanning. In 1992, a black oxide coating line was put in operation to meet the demand of customers, further diversifying Hi-Tech's services.
