This paper reveals the success of mise-a-la-masse survey in Kalabar basemetal prospect. Mise-a-la-masse survey has been very successful in planning the drilling programme in different basemetal prospects of Rajasthan. In Kalabar prospect falling in northern part of South Delhi Fold Belt (SDFB), this method was tried and found to be very effective in deciphering the subsurface disposition and extension of metallic sulphides intersected in the boreholes. The extension of sulphide zones delineated by mise-a-la-masse survey was helpful in planning the further boreholes and optimising the drilling cost in the area. This technique was also successful in the area in establishing correlation between different parts of an ore body with varying sulphide percentage, which are located distantly but are in electrical continuity. The findings of mise-a-la-masse survey also corroborate with the results of ground geophysical surveys carried out earlier.
