Improvement of product development accuracy using 3D data

摘要

In automotive industries, speed and accuracy are two of the important requirements in product development today. One of the tools that has come to be used in recent years to improve development speed and accuracy is solid computer-aided design(CAD). Effective usage of the 3D data solid CAD provides speeding up of product development as well as attaining higher accuracy simultaneously. This paper presents some examples of how the solid CAD can be applied to the product development process.
