摘要

Kinnow mandarin is commercially grown in north-western India. The cultivation of Kinnow has gained importance because of its better adaptability to agroclimatic conditions, precocious bearing and high yield potential (Jawanda and Bhambota, 3). Majordisadvantages such as late maturity, high seed number, thick and adherent rind indicate the need to regenerate true-to-type plantlets under in-vitro conditions. Moreover, a larger number of plantlets can be produced within a short time and space throughin-vitro propagation. Therefore, an experiment was conducted to regenerate plantlets from epicotyl segments taken from in-vitro grown nucellar seedlings.
