摘要

Apple is one of major fruit crop of Himachal Pradesh; its production has been reduced considerably due to many root rot diseases. White root rot of the apple caused by Dematophora necatrix is a serious disease in the entire world especially in the poorly drained soils. Disease control by chemicals is expensive and polluting, hence use of bioagents is recommended as an alternative. In this paper, studies were conducted on different organic amendments on the population of antagonists and disease control by them. The organic amendments of sawdust, pine needles and oil cake were tested under glasshouse with the apple root rot pathogen to check their effect on the population of antagonists and disease control by them.
