A new series of 1 -[2-(substitutedphenyl)-3-chloro-4-oxoazetidin-1 -yl]-3-(6-fluoro-7-chloro-1,3-benzothiazol-2-yl)ureas and 1 -(6-fluoro-7-chlorobenzothiazol-2-yl)-3-(4-oxo-2-substituted phenylthiazolidin-3-yl)ureas have been synthesised from 2-amino substitutedbenzothiazoles. All the newly synthesised compounds have been characterised by spectral and elemental analysis. The newly synthesised azetidinones were screened for anticonvulsant, antiinflammatory and thiazolidinones for antimicrobial activity.
