When brothers Chris and Nick Col-son decided to go into the heating oil business, a little more than three years ago, they weren't exactly novices. Having grown up in the household of Colson Oil, which was in business from 1987 to 1999, and working with their father, who still runs Starz Discount Oil in Landing, NJ, they spent more than their fair share of time in the oil business as kids, and later, working on weekends off while in school.
