Ultra Green Energy Services opens NJ biodiesel transload facility

Ultra Green Energy Services held the grand opening of its Whippany, NJ Biodiesel Transload Facility on May 16. The location will feature rail-to-truck and red dye capabilities. Ultra Green's Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing, Michael Cooper, said his company had been looking for a facility in New Jersey for years. The new location provides railcar capability and economical access, he said in a Biodiesel Magazine interview, noting that most distillate fuels entering the Northeast market are funneled throughNew York Harbor via pipeline or marine vessel, and as such, locating a biodiesel facility near the harbor is prohibitively expensive due to traffic and toll costs.
