In line with an increasing demand for more sophisticated products TRW has invested heavily in the North East of England, establishing a highly successful manufacturing facility for the production of safety based products including air bag crash sensors. As the number of air bags fitted to a car has risen from just a single bag, to as many as eight, the need for more sophisticated products which are capable of an 'intelligent' and predictable response has also increased.
