From everyday runaround to fun trackday tool, our Swift has been a good Sport. The Japanese word 'Kaizen' means 'continuous improvement'. The theory goes that if you slightly improve something in every conceivable area, the overall gain will be quite considerable. And it's a word that springs to mind when trying to sum up the 12,500 miles we've just covered in our Suzuki Swift Sport. Stand it next to its predecessor - or ideally go for a very short drive in both cars back to back - and you'll struggle to identify any huge differences. But spend eight months in one, as I just have, and you'll notice a whole host of small changes and improvements. It's quicker, stiffer, more economical and better equipped, for one thing, but overall Suzuki has created a well rounded, likeable and extremely capable warm, if not red-hot, hatch.
