Management of early leaf spot disease of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) incited by Cercospora arachidicola was evaluated by using native potential bacterial biocontrol agent and compatible fungicide. Under in vitro study, the bacterial leaf endophyteCE-6 showed the highest inhibition (61.3%) against Cercospora in culture filtrate experiment. The bacterial isolate CE_6 was highly compatible with carbendazim+mancozeb (Saaf@0.15%) followed by carbendazim (0.1%) and mancozeb (0.2%). The green house studies revealed that the treatment T9 i.e., application of biocontrol agent along with its compatible the fungicide, Saaf(0.15%) imposed at 30 DAS was superior followed by foliar application of potential antagonist CE5 at 75 DAS. The fungicidal tolerant potential endophyte was identified as Pseudomonas aeriginosa based on the 16S rDNA analysis.
