Hydrologic non-point source pollution models for agricultural watersheds- A review

摘要

A review on different hydrologic non-point source pollution (NFS) modeling used for agricultural watershed planning and management is discussed in this paper. The commonly used hydrological and NFS models are grouped into three categories viz. field scale, event based watershed scale and continuous watershed scale for selection of the appropriate model. The performance of different models under different conditions and criteria of selection and their merit and demerits are also discussed. Among eventbased watershed models, ANSWER model provides most consistent results for sediment prediction. However, if remote sensing and GIS is used for generating data on grid basis with sufficient number of events and proper care is taken during calibration, AGNPS models gives the best results for prediction of runoff and sediment.
