Commonwealth Veterinary Association (CVA) gathers in Papua New Guinea

The highly successful 11 th Australasia/ Oceania CVA Regional Meeting and Workshop was held from 27th October to 2nd November 2004 in Lae, Papua New Guinea. The largest collection of veterinarians ever to gather in PNG, the theme of the workshop was "Sustainable Livestock Production and Food Security — The Role of Women and the Threats of Emerging Diseases". Under the global Presidency of Dr Robin Yarrow (Fiji) supported by Dr Bill Pryor and Dr Jeff Cave, over 80 registrants experienced CVA at its best in a highly practical programme with inputs from most participants.
