Straws as Important Feed Resource Under Sustainable Crop-Dairy Production System

"Straws and stovers shall continue to be the basal diet for the vast majority of our livestock. Several options are available viz. urea treatment of straw, supplementation with concentrates, UMMB lick and green fodders, or the physical treatments like complete feed block making, for either improving the nutritional quality of these crop residues or to improve their utilization within the ruminant system."
