摘要

The porosity and permeability of the reservoir rocks are the fundamental petrophysical properties with respect to the storage and transmission of fluids through the porous media. Accurate estimation of these two petrophysical parameters for any petroleum reservoir together with other fluid properties is essential for sound development, management and prediction of future performance of the concerned oil and/or gas reservoir. Relative permeability data, on the other hand, are essential for almost all calculations of fluid flow through porous media. Relative permeability is an important concept in describing the flow of multiphase systems (oil & water). This paper presents a comparative study of different petrophysical properties including the permeability-porosity relationship and water/oil relative permeability (K_(ro) & K_(rw)) curves of the conventional core samples collected from the parts of major reservoirs of the Upper Assam Basin.
