Kent dualling scheme recognised for safety innovation

Health and safety remains top priority on a major project to dual a notorious bottleneck section of the A21 despite lengthy delays to the works programme. Pioneering approaches introduced to keep the workforce safe on a project to upgrade part of the A21 through Kent have led to the award of three 'Blue Stars' for main contractor Balfour Beatty.
