Comments on the description of a nonrelativistic spin-1/2 particle in quantum mechanics

Regaiding a previous paper (Bruce S , Nuovo Ctmento B, 116 (2001) 111), we describe a nomelativistic spin-1/2 particle (e.g., an electron) moving in the presence of an electromagnetic classical field. We solve this equation for three well-known instances, reobtaining the corresponding Pauli equation (but including negative-energy eigenstates) in each case.
