In heavy charged-particle radiothet'apy it is important to deliver the dose to the patient with high accuracy. In order to reach this goal, it is necessary to have an on-line control of the beam position, fluency and intensity. The INFN and University of Torino, in collaboration with the Fondazione CNAO, is working on the design, development and construction of the beam delivery and on-line control system for the Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica (CNAO), the first Italian hospital centre of oncologic hadrontherapy. Two preliminary versions of these detectors are used at the moment on clinical beams at CATANA (Catania, Italy) and at the Institut Curie-Centre de Protontherapie d'Orsay (France). An overview of the most important performance results will be showed.
