China’s Hebei Yingdu to shut acetic acid plant for overhaul

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hebei Yingdu Gasification is slated to shut its 500,000 tonne/year acetic acid plant at Xingtai City, Hebei province, on 7 April for an overhaul lasting twenty days, sources close to the company said on Monday. A spate of acetic acid plant shutdowns in China has contributed to declining inventory levels and underpinned prices in the domestic and exports markets.
